Context and Intent

Netcentric’s co-owners wanted to refresh a logo that had remained unchanged for more than three decades. As a newly appointed co-owner, Ari was focused on modernizing the mark without losing the recognition and trust it had built with long-standing clients. The goal was not to reinvent the brand, but to refine it in a way that respected its history while preparing it for the future.

Discovery

The project began with a focused conversation to understand Ari’s goals and how the logo supports long-standing client relationships. I followed with a structured questionnaire that explored how Netcentric describes its work, its audience, its strengths, and the qualities it wanted to maintain. These insights created a clear foundation for shaping a refined update that felt aligned with both the business and its established identity.

Clarified goals and brand direction through structured discovery.

Visual Identity

Using insights from the discovery phase, I focused first on refining the “N,” the most recognizable element of the Netcentric logo. The original mark included circular lines that suggested connectivity, so I preserved that idea while giving it a more modern, technical expression. Circuit-inspired forms were used to reflect how Netcentric keeps systems connected, secure, and running smoothly across every part of a client’s environment.

Refreshed the core logo to express connectivity, reliability, and technical precision.

Typography and Color

The supporting visual system was built from the qualities Ari described in the questionnaire, with a focus on clarity, approachability, and trust. The “Exo” font was chosen for its modern structure and professional tone, while the existing dark blue was paired with a lighter blue to add balance and openness. A restrained palette of black and white neutral accents was introduced to provide flexibility without diluting the brand.

Created a modern, trustworthy visual system grounded in brand insight.

Logo System

I first shared the refined logo in a single color to gather focused feedback on the form and overall direction. Both Ari and his partner immediately connected with the update, which confirmed the approach was working. From there, I expanded the system into horizontal and vertical layouts, multiple color variations, and sample applications such as branded polos to show how the mark would live across real-world uses.

Built a flexible logo system that works across formats, colors, and applications.

Business Cards

With the new logo in place, Ari wanted to extend the refreshed identity to his business cards. I designed versions for both owners along with a general card, working closely with him to ensure every detail and piece of information was accurate. Once approved, I partnered with a professional printer to produce the final cards to his exact specifications.

Extended the brand update into a polished, real-world touchpoint.

Outcome

The updated logo and business cards were met with immediate enthusiasm from Ari and his partner, confirming that the refined approach struck the right balance between familiarity and progress. Soon after launch, an existing client commented on the new logo, reinforcing that the update was resonating beyond the internal team. The project helped Netcentric present a modern, confident identity while preserving the trust it had built over time.

Delivered a brand refresh that strengthened recognition and client confidence.
